Our weather router has given the thumbs up for Gulf Stream passages this week. Although we heard one boat this afternoon on SSB who reported winds in the 30 kt range while in the Stream this afternoon. Tomorrow is supposed to be calm. We will not be crossing until after Christmas. So hopefully the weather pattern is changing for the better.
Good to hear from you, although it sounds like you will not be joining the migration this season.
MicheleAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03109931625409933648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4699532600743028145.post-43712336929635947952013-12-02T06:41:30.290-08:002013-12-02T06:41:30.290-08:00Hi Guys,

I returned last week from helping a friend move his boat to Stuart for the winter via offshore from Beaufort inlet to Ft Pierce (5 days). We were delayed a week waiting for cold front after cold front (an the associated gales) to pass. Any forecast beyond a couple of days was and continued to be useless. Without going through all the details, it was a bumpy ride. We managed to get through the Cape Canaveral exclusion zone just before they shut it down for an Atlas 5 launch. Quite a sight. Stay warm.

Clarence and Beth
SV KestrelAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17419947619115040784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4699532600743028145.post-58593168758062427792013-11-30T17:56:19.137-08:002013-11-30T17:56:19.137-08:00Ok, we look forward to meeting you too!
