The new fireplace is in and "fired up!" Yes it is June but I couldn't wait to see the fire. This weekend Joe turned it on to appease me. It's so nice and toasty. In anticipation of our sail south this fall, Joe and friend Ted spent the better part of this mild winter installing our new propane fireplace aboard Simple Life. We want to be prepared when we head south this fall. In 2003-04 we sailed south and found the weather a bit chilly during the fall. In fact it was 30 degrees in early December in Jacksonville! This time we are prepared. Bring on the cold, wind, rain. I have HEAT!
